My
Mother used to tell me "I never had an expensive In 2001, on my birthday I was in St. Petersburg, FL with my son Chris, eating lunch at a restaurant when a hail storm struck. The hail was so big I had to run out and pull a sleeping bag from the back of the car to throw over the hood of the car to prevent damage. My son said it's your Mom. When my Father was in the hospital suffering from the butchering murderers at Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco, he had been under sedation for a couple of months. Upon coming out of sedation he was complaining to the staff that it was raining in his room. I guess Mom can make it rain indoors too. This experience gave my Dad the faith he needed to cross over to the other side. He was pretty much a non- believer before this, and before he died he said "You know maybe Bill is right". He was also reading books about the afterlife. As a teenager my Mom took us kids on two trips across the United States and Eastern Canada. I was her navigator and now I have been to all of the states except North Dakota and Hawaii. Thank you Mom for showing me the beautiful places in America. It is now 15 years latter and I still miss my sweat Mom but have not stopped talking to her. Dad joined her in 2000 and guess what? the wind was howling it was raining when I poured his ashes out on top of Mission Peak in Fremont, California and his ashes mixed with the rain, seeding the clouds. That evening I left for Colorado and it snowed so heavy that I had to put chains to drive over the Sierras and it continued to snow across Nevada. I felt as if his ashes were falling back down on me. |
